BFD Travel & Events Terms and Travel Conditions

These conditions are, along with all other information to be found on our website www.bfd.nu and all our other BFD related web sites and agreements between the customer charter and Berg, Fjät & Dahl the full name of BFD Travel & Event. Our trips and events are organized by the BFD Travel & Event in cooperation with all airlines, accommodations, guides and other local tour operators.
                                                                                                                
The Registration for the journey of the client will begin as soon as the person orally or in writing commits to BFD Travel & Event that they wish to order our services. Registration is then legally binding for BFD Travel & Event when a specific fee, is received before the due date stated on the invoice. Upon notification, the customer concurs at the same time that he/she accepts the latter and will have to confirm this by email, fax or by a letter of confirmation and state that he/she fully agrees to all the procedures and the conditions laid out in the journey and stated on our website www.bfd.nu. We fully expect that the client will familiarizes themselves with the publicly available on information on climatic conditions at the selected destination before the given chosen time of travel.
The final payment will be required to be paid to BFD Travel & Events no later than 15 days prior to departure unless otherwise agreed with the client beforehand. Please take note that the differences in the payment period may exist between our different activities. This price will include all the activities specified in the booking confirmation, any additional extra activities will have to be paid separately in agreement with BFD Travel & Event.
All taxes and fees are already included in the tour price. However in many countries, airline or tourist taxes will need to be paid by cash on the spot. Individual countries may without or within short notice, amend or introduce new taxes and fees. Customers cannot demand repayment of any expenditure in respect of all taxes and fees from BFD Travel & Event.
All enquires about special needs for the travel arrangements, for example, specific types of rooms, meals, transfers and special agreements shall, in order to be valid, be clear of travel documents and strictly ordered in advance with BFD Travel & Event before travelling.
In the event of a cancellation of a booking we suggest it is wise for customers to take out a cancellation insurance, which covers the customer's expenses in the event of a cancellation, in the event of the trip been made impossible or significantly impeded as a result of unfortunate loss of life or acute illness / injury requiring hospitalization, or upon Doctors orders, the client or with his/her spouse / partner, parents, in-laws, children, grandchildren, siblings, grandparents, sister, brother or fellow traveler be accountable for. Unfortunately at BFD Travel & Event we do not provide such insurance, there are other companies you should contact that sell these kinds of insurance for travel in general.
A package holiday, hotel reservation or any other activity that is included in the tour price that will be marred by more stringent cancellation policies, in the event of this happening the terms of the client will be duly informed of this when booking the trip. The term “Includes a ticket” to this event cannot be refunded if already consolidated at the time of cancellation. The paid ticket in such cases is the client’s property, even though the client does cancel the other arrangement.
 
Please note also that if the client cancels before 30 days prior to departure, you will have to pay 40% of the cost of the trip excluding the air travel. However a minimum of 2000 SEK per person will need to paid if the client cancels less than 15 days prior to departure and 75% of the costs excluding the air travel.
* The deviations from the above cancellation policy may occur depending on booked activity of BFD Travel & Event. Rated regulations related to holidays special travel conditions and travel information will have to be considered.
 
In General, the client is solely responsible to cover all expenditure in case of illness or hospitalization, etc., during the travel. It is therefore recommended that a travel insurance policy be taken out, which will  cover the expenses in case of accident or loss of life , treatment of illness, repatriation, and damaged or lost luggage.
The client is also solely responsible to provide a current valid passport, visa and vaccinations that are necessary for the journey. The name on the ticket must always concur to what is written in the passport. It is the client’s sole responsibility to give all notification of the names of the participants to be entirely correct with all first and last names of the participants' passports correct, as it often is impossible to change the name on the ticket after notification, and errors can lead to client being turned back at the check-in to the aviation.
Similarly, it is the client’s duty to, immediately upon receipt of travel documents, verify that these are consistent with what is ordered, and that the first and last names on tickets and other travel documents are consistent with each other. BFD Travel & Event accepts no responsibility for the consequences of inaccurate or missing information this may have caused.
In the event of changes in the departure and arrival times of the issued tickets, we recommend that the client already on arrival at the airport or later on re-confirmation (see the above paragraph) question whether the current departure and check in is on schedule. The tickets and the itinerary with the specified times is always on local times in each country.
In the event of the client’s desire to let BFD Travel & Event arrange the air transportation, we note that the flights, unless otherwise noted, often cannot be changed and / or reimbursed. BFD Travel & Event will act only as an intermediary for the travel. The transport company is fully responsible for the contract of carriage that is not properly implemented. BFD Travel & Event accepts no responsibility for any costs that client may occur as a result of the transport company's potential failure to keep the contract of carriage intact.
Information on conditions concerning passports, visas, health conditions, such as requirements for immunizations etc, must be met for the realization of the journey by the client and notified when entering into the agreement and applying for travel with a valid EU or an International passport. If a passenger does not have a valid EU or an International passport it is the client’s responsibility to find information about the necessary formalities for the trip, within their own country's embassy, consulate or similar bodies.
BFD Travel & Event accepts no responsibility for the consequences of the consumer should they give out any incorrect or misgiving information. Please do note that even when in transit visas or other reverent papers can be requested. The passport must, in non-EU countries, normally valid for at least 6 months after homecoming.
The Transfer of the journey to another person, because of rules, which apply to activities delivered by the BFD Travel & Event subcontractors, would be deemed not possible. 
In the event of a transfer to another person to be feasible, BFD Travel & Event would have to be consulted well in advance to able to resolve the situation. In the event that the client has not canceled the trip and / or appear before the appointed time and place for the outward or return journey, or the customer cannot take the trip due to lack of travel documents, such as airline tickets, vouchers, valid passport, necessary visas, vaccinations, then BFD Travel & Event would be entitled to claim credit from the client for the total price of the trip.
On the other hand if the client fails to attend the booked transport, to use activities that are ordered, the customer cannot claim compensation for these unused activities.
Any complaints during the trip will have to be conveyed to the relevant airline, hotel or other partners to BFD Travel & Event at the destination and in a reasonable time after the client has found a possible error, so it is possible to correct the error immediately and with the utmost minimal inconvenience to the consumer.
Clients shall have to secure documentation to that parties in given notice of the complaint, if the error is not corrected with promptly and the customer may later wish to claim compensation from BFD Travel & Event at a later stage in the proceedings. A certain lack the evidence for this means that the right to compensation at a later date is lost and non-valid. Requirements regarding the error, which could not be resolved locally, must be issued to BFD Travel & Event within a reasonable time after arriving home.
BFD Travel & Event accepts no responsibility for any agreements / promises, without our knowledge, between a travel agent and a consumer, in the event of the journey or part of the trip bought from a different travel agency other than ourselves.
BFD Travel & Event accepts no responsibility for changes or delays, as a result of breach of contract, strike, terror, crime, natural disasters, bad weather or issues we have no control over. BFD Travel & Event accepts, at no time responsible for completely or partially destroyed, stolen or lost luggage.
BFD Travel & Event reserves the right to implement necessary changes due to lack of bookings or other causes. The travel with BFD Travel & event can be cancelled within a 20 days period of notice.to BFD Travel & Event does not offer an adequate substitute trip and will be refunded the amount paid, but additional requirements may not be cited.
BFD Travel & Event reserves the right, in its notification to change the price due to changes in transportation costs (e.g. fuel prices, taxes, fees and airport landing or take-off fees) also foreign exchange rates, purchase prices and rates used to calculate of the cost. In the event of a variation in the price the consumer is notified as soon as possible and no later than 20 days before prior to departure. Exceeding a price increase of 20% of the total price at the time of ordering, the consumer can, without further delay, write to BFD Travel & Event to cancel the tour and require the entire amount paid back, if changes in the price to go down in exchange after the trip has been booked and confirmed, the consumer is not require to a reduction in price.
The participating airlines will not assume responsibility for events that occur at times when customers are not board the flight aviation company. The responsibilities of registered baggage, we will refer to the current aviation company rules
Further to these general conditions for each of the BFD Travel & Event holidays special travel conditions and travel information the consumer will take into account. These include, for each unique journey to the future conditions and notices that it is important that the consumer take into account in their purchase of the trip through us.
